So it's been awhile... But i'm back for the new year/new semester! This year I've started reading After by Anna Todd. One of my friends recommended it to me, and I can't put it down! It's about a typical teenage girl who is starting her first year of college. You know that can always be a stressful experience. There is so much behind the college life we don't know about. In After,Tessa is out protagonist. She is a very different girl and likes to do what makes her happy. (which is a good thing:) Her style isn't always in, she doesn't wear makeup, compared to the kids at her school she stands out as a "nerd." So therefore she was already very apprehensive about settling in and leaving her mom and her boyfriend, Noah that "she loves so much." Let alone her mom was so nervous of letting her baby go. And meeting Tessa's new dorm room partner did not make anyone feel any better about the start of college.
Her new roommate, Steph and her friends are not the kind of people a mom would want to let their daughter go off to college with. They just looked like trouble. But knowing she had too, her mom let Tess go, and said their goodbyes, promising Noah she would call him everyday... But would she really? When Tess gets mixed up with the wrong boy, but the right boy she has no idea what to do?!? Tessa meets Hardin, he is the kind of bad boy but gets all the right emotions out of Tessa, which makes her confused on what to do. Is she in love with Noah, the one who can make her happy all the time, orrrr the bad boy who plays with her emotions?
I bet your thinking "So I guess this really isn't about her college life this is just a dumb love story." Wellll yes basically it is. But ya know every girl needs their stupid love story;) I really enjoy this book so far. It's a really long one though! Just an fyi, Hardin is considered Harry Styles in the making of this book. Anna Todd says, "I have no idea if Harry knows, but Hardin Scott is only based on Harry's looks and name," she said. "The two could not be more opposite when it comes to personality!"
