Over this semester I read a total of three books. Those included We Were Liars by E. Lockhart, The Lying Game by Sara Shepard, and The Maze Runner by James Dashner. Now you probably asking me, Olivia why didn't you make any posts about The Lying Game?? Even if you weren't asking, I'll tell you anyway. Well this is because I read this in my spare time while reading our in class books, and I chose to make my blogs over those instead. Sorry guys! But I do recommend it, it's a really good mystery:) I chose these book for multiple reasons. I always need a book that I can pick up and not put down, otherwise to be honest... reading isn't my thing. But I have to say the three books I read definitely reached my expectations. The Maze Runner interested me because it was of a type Utopian society different than we have today(which I love) and it was super intense and bewildering! Also We Were Liars and The Lying Game interested me in the same way, they were both lives of people with a bunch of twists and turns. Overall I loved them all!
Throughout this semester my blogs have diffidently gone from adequate to excellent. I wouldn't say superior because there is always things I can improve on, but excellent describes a lot of them pretty well. For example, my posts about my summer reading book and We Were Liars, I consider adequate. Meaning they don't have enough voice to engage the reader, not very good word choice, and was basically a summary, not showing any out of the box thinking. But I will say as I reached the end of the semester my blogs did tremendously improve. They were considered excellent, focused, they engaged the reader with voice, had good ideas, with quotes, examples, and details. But it was not too much to confuse the reader or make it less interesting. I also began putting videos and links to help give a more broad range of information if people needed it. I am happy with my blogs and I know I could always make them better, but where I am and how long I've been writing them, they are not too bad, I would say. There's always more room for a superior.
I want to improve in multiple ways. So for next semester I have laid down some goals for me to achieve. Well first, (this one is simple) but I need to try not to make so many posts on one book. For example, I had like 5 posts on my book We Were Liars, that's almost to much information. Also I want to incorporate more of an engaging style that adds more character to my blogs. Because who wants to read a boring, non interesting blog, right? Lastly, I would like to develop a way to put just the right amount of information in, so it can captures the readers interest and make them wanting more. Oh and lastly, MAKE SURE I REREAD FOR GRAMMAR. That's just a little small issue of mine.

Hi Olivia! I have been wanting to read We Were Liars for a while… would you recommend it to me? The Lying Game sounds intense, that interests me as well. And, I totally have your same problem about too many posts about one book. I did the same thing with Mockingjay. :)
